Reach-In Refrigeration FAQs

Why is my reach-in cooler not holding temperature?

Common causes are dirty condenser coils, worn door gaskets, a failing evaporator or condenser fan, a bad thermostat, a defrost problem or low refrigerant.

Why is my reach-in freezer icing up?

Ice buildup usually comes from a failed defrost heater, timer or control, torn door gaskets, or doors left open. If it keeps happening, the defrost system needs to be checked.

How often should commercial refrigeration be maintained?

We recommend a maintenance visit every three to six months, with condenser coil cleaning, gasket checks and temperature checks, especially in hot, greasy kitchens.

Can you help us pass a health inspection?

Yes. We get units holding safe food temperatures, replace worn gaskets and fix leaks and ice buildup that inspectors look for.
