Journeyman Carpenter
Compensation
$28-$38/hr, based on experience
Description
Join a 25+ year, locally owned commercial contractor. As a Journeyman Carpenter you will:
Frame with wood and light-gauge metal studs, soffits and ceilings
Build, set and strip concrete forms
Install doors, frames, hardware, trim, cabinets and millwork
Lay out work from blueprints and lead helpers and carpenters on site
Handle building repairs for our facility maintenance clients

Work Conditions
Indoor and outdoor commercial job sites across the Houston and Galveston Bay Area. Work in Texas heat, at heights and around active construction. Full-time, Monday through Friday, with overtime available.
Certification & Licenses:
OSHA 10 preferred (OSHA 30 a plus). TWIC card a plus. Valid Texas driver's license required.
Requirements
5+ years of carpentry experience, mostly commercial
Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
Experience leading a small crew
Own hand tools and power tools
Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
Pass a background check and drug screen
