Subcontractor Requirements

To register with K.R. Allen Construction, LLC as a Subcontractor and to be issued a PIN to utilize the website Plan Room.

All past, present and future Subcontractors will go through this pre-qualification process to substantiate their organization by completing the pre-qualification form.

Thereafter, a yearly questionnaire will be completed, that will give background information of a subcontractor’s history, including three previously completed jobs and their cost values, three references, three suppliers, any accident and a brief explanation. 

K.R. Allen requires all subcontractors to submit sample insurance forms, showing coverages and endorsements. This eliminates issues once the subcontractor is hired; they are ready to step onto the site, ready for work. The W9 gives assurance that our Subcontractors are legitimate company’s. 

All subcontractors must review the scope of work with the project manager of the specific job. The scope of work is a narrative of what the subcontractors will be responsible for on a particular project, including specifics, and general notes and safety. The contract drawings are discussed and reviewed along with the scope. 

Upon completion of all subcontractors’ proposals to a specific trade, the Project Manager ensures that each proposal meets requirements, identifying similarities and difference between the bids, checking materials, ensuring the correct plans are being used to create the best bid, the budget and the variance are analyzed. A proposal is submitted to the owner by KR Allen.  

Once KR Allen has been awarded the project the issuing of a subcontract agreement, PO and a Notice to Proceed after the Subcontractor file has been completed with required forms.
